Mother, son die as fire razes house in Kano

35-year-old mother, alongside her three-year-old baby lost their lives while they were asleep during a fire accident that occurred at Bala Barodo Street, Gandun Albasa in Kano State.

The victims were confirmed dead by a doctor at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital.

The Kano State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident said the victims were rescued unconscious and handed over to Inspector Shehu Lawan of Kwali Police Station, who rushed them to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where the doctors on duty confirmed them dead.

“We received a distress call at about 2.07am from one Ibrahim Ashiru and immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 2.11am”.
