The family of a young man in his thirties, Bolu Bamidele who was allegedly burnt to death by his wife, Ifeoluwa has called on security agencies to ensure that the fleeing suspect was apprehended.

Recall that the 30-year-old man, Bamidele was allegedly set ablaze by Ifeoluwa at their Koka, Osun State home on Sunday, after suspecting he was having an affair with another woman.

Having sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident, Bamidele eventually died at the University College Hospital, Ibadan on Tuesday.

The elder brother of the deceased identified as Francis while speaking with newsmen during their visit to Bamidele’s parents house said police had commenced investigation into the matter, but the suspect had not been found.

Francis also said parents of Ifeoluwa, who were living in at Kobongbogboe area of Osogbo had also fled home, while the younger sister of the suspect, who was with the couple when quarrel over the infidelity ensued between them was no longer picking her calls.

He called for diligent investigation with a view to apprehend the suspect, adding that the family of the deceased must get justice to prevent future reoccurrence of such incident.

“Police have commenced investigation into the matter. The wife has not been found. We don’t believe she is dead. She is alive and hiding somewhere.

“We urge security agencies to assist us to fish her out. Bolu is the last child of our parents and we don’t poke-nose into the matters between the wife and our brother.

“We learnt parents of the suspects have also abandoned their house. Her younger sister that was with them in the house is no longer picking calls. We hope security agencies will assist us to do diligent investigation and ensure that justice is served. Bolu has been buried,” Francis concluded.

When contacted for update on the matter, the Spokesperson for the state Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, said the police had intensified search for the suspect.
