Officers from the Lagos State Police Command’s Meiran Division arrested Emmanuel Aaron for vandalizing a telecommunication mast in the state’s Meiran area.

The 35-year-old suspect was discovered with 12 solar batteries, said SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer, in a statement on Sunday.

He said, “The suspect, who was arrested on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, around 3.05am, in response to a distress call about the presence of vandals at the mast, was found with 12 solar batteries already loaded in their operational bus, a Ford with number plate FKJ 519 YF.

“His conspirators took to their heels upon sighting the policemen. Investigation is ongoing to arrest the fleeing conspirators. The suspect would be arraigned at the conclusion of investigations.
