Two feared killed as gunmen attack Oyo police station

Two persons feared killed following a deadly attack on the police station in Iganna town, Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State.

It was gathered that the gunmen carried out the attack on Tuesday night

According to PUNCH, a source in the area said that the incident had triggered anxiety in the area.

He said, ” Two persons were killed including a police officer but you know it’s only a doctor that can confirm if someone is dead or not.

“The crisis is within the people in the town and not herdsmen attack.”

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, who confirmed the attack said that the police had begun investigation into the incident.

He said, “Investigation has commenced into the matter. Updates would be provided accordingly.”
