Gunmen have reportedly killed a Chinese expatriate at a mining site at Iboko, in the Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.
Although details of the attack were still sketchy at the time of filing this story, sources said the gunmen killed the Chinese national after they disarmed the police orderly attached to the deceased.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday.
The remains of the Chinese expatriate have been deposited at a morgue in Abakaliki, the state capital.
The state police spokesperson, Chris Anyanwu, said he was not aware of the incident as of the time of filing this report.
