Six members of a family in Anambra state are the latest casualties of the flood disaster that’s ravaging the country.

The family members — a mother, her four kids and sister — drowned on Tuesday after their home was submerged in Nzam community of Anambra West Local Government Area of the State.

According to a trending video, youths of the community were seen bringing out corpses from a house and depositing them in an upland area.

From the video, the bodies consisted of a woman, her four children and a sister.

According to the narrator in the video, the family members were already prepared to leave for a safe place, before their residence was submerged by flood.

Recall that about 81 people lost their lives in two boat accidents in Ogbaru Local Government council of the state last week.

Also a man who had successfully evacuated his family from the flood and opted to stay back to take care of the vicinity recently drowned in Ogbaru while he was asleep.

The National Emergency Management Agency, in a press conference, had said it had commenced aerial surveillance, using helicopters, to rescue trapped residents of the flooded areas.
