One person feared dead and five other injured as suspected members of two rival gangs clashed at Gwarandok community in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to Daily Trust, a source said that the violence led to the death of one person while five other people got injured. The incident according to the source occurred at 7 pm on Saturday.

Commercial activities were grounded as shops were hurriedly locked up in fear of reprisal attacks by the rival gangsters in the area.

It was gathered that some members of a gang had earlier launched an attack on their rival gang at Namu Junction on Friday evening but were repelled by local vigilantes, a development that led to the Saturday attack.
