30-year-old man, Abdurrazaq Ibrahim and his wife, Nana Ibrahim, have been remanded for beating up a policeman who was sent to their house to arrest them in Niger State.
The couple were on Tuesday arraigned before a magistrates’ court in Madalla town in Suleja LGA of Niger State.
The prosecutor, ASP John Atine, told the court that the couple, Abdurrazaq and his 24-year-old wife, Nana, beat the policeman, Constable, Abubakar Abdullahi, around 2pm on Monday.
He said, “The policeman reported back to the division where re-enforcement was redeployed and the two of them were arrested.’’
The accused denied the allegations and the Magistrate, Joy Asabe Shaba, adjourned the case to October 25.
