Muhammad Sanusi II, the deposed Emir of Kano, has welcomed a baby girl with his fourth wife, Sa’adatu nee Barkindo.

The baby girl has been named Zainab Khausar. Photos of the mother and child at an undisclosed hospital have gone viral.

Sa’adatu is the daughter of Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, the Lamido of Adamawa.

Sanusi married her in 2015, and they welcomed their first child together, Halimatu, on May 5, 2020.

The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) married Sa’adatu when he was still Emir of Kano.

His other wives include Sadiya Ado Bayero, Maryam Sanusi, and Rakiya Sanusi.

Sadiya Ado Bayero is the younger sister of Sanusi’s replacement as Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.
