One Adnan Sani, a farmer, has sued one Ms. Saudat Bagobiri, a friend to his wife, for allegedly stealing four of his goats.

Sani dragged Bagobiri before a Sharia court sitting in Kaduna, according to NAN.

The complainant told the court that the defendant had once returned two of his missing goats and asked him to ‘loan’ him a male turkey to mate with her female turkey.

“Those two goats she brought back got missing again and we found another goat of mine tied in her compound. A few days later the fourth goat got missing too.

“She returned the male turkey but I suspect her of stealing my four goats. She deceived my wife into thinking that she was her friend.

“She only got close to my wife to steal our animals,” he said.

On her part, the defendant said she knew nothing about missing goats.

“I found one goat roaming in my compound because I also rear goats.

“When I found the goat, I called him to check if the goat was his and he confirmed that it was indeed his. He took the goat and left,” she said.

The judge, Malam Salisu Abubakar-Tureta, dismissed the case saying all claims made by the complainant were mere assumptions.

The judge discharged the defendant.
