Oyo: Mentally unstable woman gives birth in uncompleted building

A mentally unstable woman has given birth to a baby boy at Ayileka Street, Odo-Ona Apata in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The new mother, who identified herself as Lara, delivered the baby in an uncompleted building around 3pm on Sunday.

According to PUNCH, the dark complexioned mentally deranged woman, said to be between 25 and 30 years old, was not coherent in her speech.

It was further gathered that the incident had been reported at Odo Ona Apata Police Station, while the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare had also been contacted.

The mother and the child are doing well at a private hospital as at the time of filing this report.
