It was another day of rage in Umuela village, Ibagwa-Aka community in Igbo-Eze South local government area of Enugu state as a middle-aged man was banished for life for allegedly killing his five relations.
Mr. Uwakwe Ugwuanyi was sent packing by community dwellers who came out in their hundreds to register their displeasure in his alleged atrocious act.
WITHIN NIGERIA source revealed that Mr. Ugwuanyi has been a thorn in the flesh of the community dwellers who have lost idea on how to handle him.
An eye witness, Obinna Ugwuanyi told our reporter that “He has been killing our brothers and sisters for a long time now. Anytime you want to go and search for what is happening to our family he will say he will do that for us.
“When he came back from the search he will tell you that his late brother which is his elder brother is responsible for the death of the children.
“That he has problem with the gods, that the gods is the once responsible for taking the life of the children. But the last one happen and youths are very angry about his death.
“We decided to go and look for solution together, which we did, and we went to many places in search of solution and the picture of the man kept on popping up that our uncle is responsible for all the death that has been happening in Ibagwa-Aka community.”
According to our source, the community couldn’t take it any longer and they decided to banish him by carrying his mock coffin to his doorstep, asking him to leave the community on less than 48 hours.
When our reporter contacted the traditional of the community, HRH Igwe Dr. Eze Ezeagu for his comment on the issue, his number was switched off.
