Two siblings in Lude community, Mbaise in Imo state have been banished by the community on Thursday, January 26 for allegedly living as husband and wife.
According to our source, the couple whose identity is yet to be ascertained by reporter at the press time have been deceiving the community dwellers, pretending that they were relations while they were allegedly committing incest.
WITHIN NIGERIA also gathered that it was when the lady took in that they discovered that they were actually having sex as husband and wife, though the duo are known to be siblings.
“In reaction to this, the community has to banish them because this a sacrilegious act in the community.
“The community security outfit dragged them out from their house, threw their belongings away and took them to the boundary with another community.”
Explaining further, our source stressed that ” they were asked not to come back to the community again, whether temporarily or permanently in their life.”
Narrating further, our source revealed that in Igbo land, brothers and sisters are not allowed for any reason to have sex because it is an abomination.
Asked if such thing has happened in the community before now, our source stated that ,” not the one I know of. I have not seen it in the community before now. And that is why the community didn’t take it lightly. This is not matter of ” I want to live my life the way I want.”
“It is a sacrilege,” our source stated.
