Narrating the eye witness explained that ” I was in my farmland when I heard the sound of the gun shots. I thought it was members of Neighborhood Watch Security outfit that was shooting only to hear some persons shouting and running inside bush.

“It was later I discovered that these gun men numbering about five were about to attack commercial bus heading to Adani when the driver stopped and the passengers jumped out of the vehicle and ran into bush.”

Our reporter gathered that on the process, many of the passengers got injured.

WITHIN NIGERIA investigation showed Opanda/Adani high way has become notorious in recent time for armed robbery, kidnapping and murder.

Only two months ago, a senior police officer was shot on his way from Adani to Opanda. This was happening few weeks after three persons were also kidnapped on the highway.
