Two auto robbers were nabbed inside the University Of Nigeria Nsukka campus at UNN convocation while attempting to steal a woman’s car.

Luck ran out on them when the owner of the car whose name couldn’t be ascertained at the press time sent one of her relatives to fetch some items inside the car.

The two suspects

WITHIN NIGERIA source revealed the relative on seeing the suspects picking the door key of the car, he shouted “car thief” and some students and other visitors around rushed to the scene.

Our source further narrated that “they were grabbed by already angry youths, beaten to stupor before the UNN security agents intervened and saved them from being lynched.”

On interrogation, they gave their names as Uchenna Onyeziri and Chijoke both from Imo state.

They however confessed to their long-term involvement in the crime after being interrogated by UNN security agents.

Our source further narrated that they have been handed over to the Nsukka Urban police command for further investigation and possible prosecution.
