Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a student of the Institute of Management and Technology, IMT Enugu, identified as Stanley Ogwo.

Stanley, a National Diploma II final student was kidnapped on Thursday on his way to school from his Emene residence.

The victim is the son of a Radio presenter with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Godwin Ogwo.

According to PUNCH, Ogwo, who confirmed the incident on the telephone, said that the available information is that his son was abducted in a commercial bus he boarded to school.

The Radio presenter said the gunmen contacted him through his son’s handset.

“They merely asked if we are ready to comply; I was confused and I switched off the phone,” he said.

Ogwo, however, noted that abductors were yet to make their demand.

“We’ve been talking with them and they have said they want money but have yet to name the amount,” he said.
