Police rescue two abandoned children on Third Mainland Bridge

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have rescued two children abandoned by their mother on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.

The children were identified as Chigozie Okonkwo and Bright Okonkwo, aged 10 and 9 years old.

According to the RRS, the operatives were on routine monitoring of the Third Mainland bridge on Friday evening, April 28, 2023, when they ran into the minors.

The RRS disclosed this in a statement posted on its official Facebook page on Friday.

Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi has directed that the children be immediately transferred to Adekunle Police Station, Yaba, where an investigation has commenced on the matter.
