A 56-year-old man, Aminu Abubakar, has been arrested by the police for allegedly beating his 38-year-old acclaimed ‘wife’, Nana Fadimatu, to death in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The State Police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who confirmed the incident said Abubakar, who is the Manager of Anasam Table Water allegedly beat his wife when he heard that the deceased was planning to marry a new husband.

Angered by that information, the suspect on May 5 at about 10 pm, applied force on her by hitting her with a hard object as a result of which she fell down unconscious and was later pronounced dead.
