One dies as SUV rams into tricycle in Lagos

At least one person has reportedly died after a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) crushed a tricycle conveying a family of four along Isheri-Igando road in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.

It was gathered that the tragic incident happened at the Idowu Egba end of the road around 7 am on Sunday.

According to PUNCH, the driver of the SUV, who was heading towards the Igando area of the community, was at top speed when he lost control, skidded across the median, and rammed into oncoming vehicles, including two commercial buses and a tricycle.

One person in the tricycle died instantly while the commercial buses were partially affected.

It was also learnt that other occupants were critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.

The victims include the tricycle rider, a couple, and their two children who were said to be on their way to church.
