Ten persons abducted by bandits terrorising Zamfara state have been rescued, the police in the North West state have said.

This is as the state police command vowed to secure the release of all kidnapped victims and reunite them with their families without paying a dime as ransom.

The newly appointed Police Public Relations Officer in the beleaguered state, ASP Yazid Abubakar, said the police will not relent in its efforts to rid the state of all form of criminalities and atrocities.

He made this known on Thursday in a press statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital, on behalf of the state Commissioner of Police Mohammed Bunu.
