As the students from the Tai Solarin University of Education in Ijagun, Ogun state, fought with the locals, there was a palpable sense of tension in the area.

According to the Punch, the community has been abandoned as a result of the violence that erupted on Sunday morning.

The school’s administration has announced the school’s closure and has asked students to return home until peace is restored.

While confirming the incident, the registrar of the institution, Dapo Oke, stated that there was a clash between some students living in the Imaweje community, around the school, and the residents of the community.
