The abrupt death of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, founder and chairman of DAAR Communications, a media mogul, successful businessman, and philanthropist, who passed away and was revealed by the family today, May 29, 2023, has shocked Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba.
The IGP characterized his passing as a major loss for Nigeria, the media, and the entire African continent.
The IGP, therefore, prays for the repose of his soul and God’s guidance on the family members, staff of DAAR Communications, and friends of the great philanthropist.
Recall that Raymond Dokpesi and his family members were in 2020 hospitalized at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital after they were diagnosed with COVID-19. They, however, survived the disease.
Dokpesi founded the African Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower FM and was the Deputy Director-General of technical and systems of Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential Campaign Council.
