A vengeful lagos-based businessman, Amarah Kennedy, who resorted to revenge porn to spite and humiliate his estranged lovers, has given conditions to turn himself in to the police.

Kennedy has gone into hiding since his heinous acts came to public knowledge and they became perennial subject of social media discourse and conventional media reportage.

Within Nigeria had reported how Kennedy splashed the nude photos of his ex lovers — which he clandestinely took while having sexual intercourse with them — all over the social media and instant messaging platforms, threatening to ruin their lives for daring to go public with what he did.

His victims, identified simply as Kester and Temi, met him on social media platforms at different times and fell in love with him after he promised them marriage and showered their kids with gifts.

However, after disagreements, he shared their nude photos with them and demanded money with threats to make the images go viral.

Despite collecting N140,000 from Kester, a widow, and N15,000 from Temi, he posted the images on Facebook and WhatsApp.

One of his victims, Kester, a widow said she’s been deeply troubled and shattered by Kennedy’s abominable deed so much so that she had contemplated suicide but had to shelve the thought because of her daughter.

After a report about him in the media on Sunday went viral, he became furious and swore to damage the women’s image further.

He subsequently published Kester’s nudes on her church’s WhatsApp group platform and office social media pages.

After days of sustained plethora of reports in the media and acerbic callouts on social media, he says he’s now ready to make peace with his victims.

He, however, said this will only be possible if the media, especially Punch, stop reporting the matter and the police wash their hands off the case.

The 44-year-old noted that he was ready to come out but needed assurance that the police would stay out of the case.

Kennedy, who hails from the Umunze community in Anambra State, stated these in a chats with Punch.

Kennedy said he had stopped spreading the photos.

Reacting, he wrote, “You need to stop writing about me too. If you want me to do what you have suggested. I saw the story this morning (Wednesday) and I was wondering where all those information came from, unfortunately now whatever I say will be my word against theirs.

“I am not asking you to stop writing; I am saying the stories you write daily about me, can you stop. Let me find a way to resolve all these.

“I want to settle this issue out of the police. I am ready to do anything to make peace, but I want this issue resolved outside of the police.”

A punch reporter, who spoke with him, however, said he would only stop after the businessman submitted himself to the police.

He then promised to be at the command headquarters on Friday.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, had earlier asked the suspect to come forward to prove his innocence at the command headquarters.
