It’s gathered that the tragic incident happened on Friday at about 6:30 p.m. within Laoso camp, located in Ondo West Local Government Area of the State.

The 27-year-old deceased met his untimely death after he was fatally shot with a dane gun by his friend identified as Bode.

The charm was prepared by a native doctor who guaranteed them of the portion potency against gunfire.

Seeking to put the charm’s efficiency to test, Tunde purportedly requested that Bode should fire the first shot at him.

However, as soon as the dane gun was discharged, Tunde immediately collapsed, losing his life in the process.

Upon realising the unfortunate outcome of their ill-fated experiment, Bode fled the scene in panic, leaving behind the dead body of his friend.

One of the sources added that following the incident, Tunde was rushed to a clinic at the camp, where he was confirmed dead.

Meanwhile, the incident has left the community in utter shock and perplexity.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Olufumilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, described the deceased and his friend as cultists.

He said, “one Tunde Akinmoyewa, a male ex-convict who is also a cultist, while testing a locally made gun believed to be newly procured, was accidentally shot by one of his boys, named Bode.

“As a result of which he died while being taken to the hospital for medical attention.

“Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased have been deposited in the mortuary, and efforts are in top gear to arrest the suspect.
