Two additional medical doctors have been arrested by the Plateau State Police Command in connection with the alleged harvesting of vital human organs by a suspected fake doctor named Noah Kekere.

This information was disclosed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alabo Alfred, during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Jos on Tuesday.

Alfred mentioned that the suspects, along with Kekere, are currently in police custody and are undergoing investigation.

Kekere, who is believed to be a fake doctor, was recently apprehended following accusations of harvesting a woman’s kidney during a surgery.

The Plateau Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association has distanced itself from Kekere, stating that investigations have revealed he is not a licensed medical doctor.

Alfred did not disclose the identities of the two additional suspects but mentioned that the Commissioner of Police in the state will soon form a high-powered committee of medical experts. This committee will conduct a thorough investigation and examination of the woman who claimed that Kekere removed one of her vital organs during the surgery.

The purpose of forming this committee is to allow a comprehensive examination of the victim’s claims and determine if her vital organ was indeed tampered with.

“We have arrested two additional suspects who actually conducted the surgery on the said woman.

“We are in touch with the Ministry of Health in the state and the NMA, to give us some professionals that will assist us in our investigation.

“The Commissioner of Police will constitute a committee of seasoned medical experts to look into these allegations with a view to getting to the root of the matter,” Alabo said.
