EFCC Nabs Man for Alleged N2billion Fraud In Lagos

  • Agada, a 37-year-old native of Udi Local Government Area, Enugu State, was arrested by the Commission on October 11, 2023, for obtaining money under false pretence and stealing N2billion
  • The commission added that he will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded

An unlicensed foreign exchange broker named Chike Nosa Agada has been detained by EFCC agents from the Lagos Zonal Command in connection with an alleged N2 billion fraud.

Agada, a 37-year-old native of Enugu State’s Udi Local Government Area, was listed as wanted by the Commission on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, for obtaining money by deception and committing N2 billion in theft by conversion.

He was arrested at a residence in the Bourdillon, Ikoyi area of Lagos on Monday, October 16, 2023 during a sting operation by operatives of the Commission, following credible intelligence linking him to the alleged fraud.

Upon arrest, a mobile device was recovered from him.
