A notorious kidnapper known as Dogo Oro, allegedly responsible for terrorizing Bunza and Kalgo Local Government Areas in Kebbi State, was reportedly eliminated by a vigilante group in Tunga village, Tilli ward in Bunza LGA.
Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, shared this information in a statement released to journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
AbdulRahman Usman, the Director of Security in the Carbinate Office, confirmed the incident while providing an update on the state’s security situation.
Usman said, “The suspected notorious bandit appeared this morning shooting people with bore and arrow, but our men of vigilante gunned him down.
“Sanusi Ibrahim-Geza, Kebbi State Commander, Vigilante has confirmed that the incident happened this Friday morning as reported by their Bunza LGA Commander, C/suv Faruku Mashayabo.”
Usman added that the successful operation by the vigilante gave much hope “for our community to resettle down in their various homes and villages and go about their normal businesses, especially at the Kanzanna general area.
