Amotekun arrests 30-year-old man for defiling minor in Osun

...appeals to residents to report any suspicious movement

A 30 year old man, Dada Isiaka, has been arrested by operatives of Amotekun in Osun State for the alleged defilement of a 9 year old girl.

The arrest of Isiaka who was nabbed in Ada on Tuesday was made known by the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi while addressing journalists on Thursday in Osogbo.

According to the Adewinmbi, Isiaka was arrested after he lured the minor to an uncompleted building in Ada town, Boripe local government area of the state.

Adewinmbi said during the act, the girl raised an alarm which drew the attention of the residents of the area who quickly called the attention of Amotekun Boripe Command to the incident.

“The operatives who swung into action immediately and apprehended the suspect on the spot.

“The suspect admitted that he committed the offence.”

The Osun Amotekun boss explained that the suspect was an ex-convict who had been arrested in the past for stealing and he was jailed for three months.

He said the suspect had been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.

Adewinmbi also appealed to residents of the state to report any suspicious movement in their area to security agents for prompt action.
