One Hajiya Amina has been murdered by some yet to be identified assailants in Tudun Wada area of Daura, Katsina state.
90-year old Amina was dastardly murdered along side her 23-year-old granddaughter, Bilkisu, last Thursday.
They were both killed in their residence behind Tashar Kudu in Daura, according to reports.
It is gathered that nonagenarian was strangled while her granddaughter was slaughtered.
A local said that the granddaughter’s stomach was ripped open and her kidney removed by the assailants.
According to reports, some youth had burgled the victims’ house not long ago and went away with their plasma TV.
The deceased had reported the incident to the police but investigation was ongoing at the time the victims were killed.
“The TV was recovered and investigation was ongoing when this terrible thing happened. only investigation will reveal whether those who have stolen the TV have any direct or indirect connection with the murder,” he said.
Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina has condoled with the family of the deceased as well as the Daura emirate council over the unfortunate incident.
The Police spokesman in Katsina, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, confirmed the incident but didn’t go into details.
