At least seven persons were killed when armed bandits attacked three communities in Benue state on Sunday night.
The affected communities are in Entekpa Ward, Adoka District of Otukpo Local Government Area of the state.
Some persons are still missing in the affected communities, including Iwili, Umogidi and Opaha in Entekpa Ward, locals said.
Chairman of Otukpo LGA, Alfred Oketa Omakwu confirmed that security operatives recovered the seven bodies on Tuesday.
The state police command were unsuccessful has not issued a statement regarding the incident.
Communities in Benue have been under attacks for months on end, the attacks have left many dead and others displaced.
