Before being taken to the hospital, the management of the hotel contacted the men of the Central Police Station (CPC) who visited the scene.

However, another account about the death of the artisan claimed that he was electrocuted while working on electrical installation in the hotel.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Abia State Police Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka confirmed the death of the artisan.

She said that the management of the hotel where the artisan was working called the attention of Central Police Station, Umuahia, to inform them about the incident.

She noted that the scene was visited by policemen from the CPS while an investigation was ongoing
