Man, 24, arrested for raping 14-year-old girl in Ogun

• He disclosed that Bala was arrested after the result of the medical evaluation of the victim came back positive

One Gadafi Bala has been apprehended for defiling a 14-year-old girl at Ogijo in the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun state.

The 24-year-old man suspect was said to have committed the the crime on Thursday.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, made this known in a statement on Friday.

He disclosed that Bala was arrested after the result of the medical evaluation of the victim came back positive.

The statement partly read, “A report received from Ifesowapo Otitoloju CDA in Ilara, Ogijo that a 14-year-old female JSS1 student of Aderegun Community High School, Ogijo was raped by one Gadafi Bala ”m” aged 24 years old, on March 28, 2024.

“As soon as the Ogijo Divisional Police Officer received the report, he visited the victim and issued an examination form for evaluation, which result proved positive.

“Sequel to the result being confirmed by a doctor of a government-owned hospital, Gadafi was promptly arrested.

“Preliminary investigation has commenced into the matter, and the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.”
