The Nigeria Police Force is determined to employ all available measures to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the killing of security operatives in Delta State.

Speaking during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, affirmed this commitment, noting ongoing discussions with senior officers and the National Security Adviser (NSA) to address security challenges not only in the Niger Delta but nationwide.

Adejobi assured that those responsible for the attacks on security personnel in Delta State would face justice, emphasizing the importance of cooperation from the public in providing crucial information about the suspects at large.

He condemned the brutal killings, highlighting the dissemination of videos depicting the heinous acts and the mutilation of the victims’ bodies.

“We have commenced efforts to apprehend the perpetrators. Our investigations are ongoing, and we are receiving assistance from individuals in custody. We are determined to locate and apprehend all those involved,” Adejobi stated.

Acknowledging the complexity of the security situation in the Niger Delta, Adejobi underscored the need for a holistic approach, considering factors such as population, economic activities, and the oil industry.

“This is not just a localized issue; it affects all geopolitical zones. Our objective is to ensure a peaceful society across Nigeria,” he explained.

While expressing concern over the spate of incidents in Delta State, Adejobi reassured the public of the authorities’ concerted efforts to address the security challenges, with collaboration from state officials, traditional leaders, and citizens.
