Police nab railway track vandal in Kaduna

  • The suspect will be charged to court

The police command in Kaduna State reported that its officers had apprehended a suspect for vandalizing railway tracks and recovered 100 pieces of rail tracks.

ASP Mansir Hassan, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, informed journalists on Saturday in Kaduna.

Mr. Hassan explained that the arrest was made following a credible intelligence report received around 1:30 AM on May 20.

He added that the suspect, Naim Mikaila, a resident of Kajuru in Kaduna State, was caught with 100 pieces of railway tracks.

“During interrogation, Mikaila was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the possession of these items, leading to the suspicion that they were stolen property.

Mr Hassan said the Commissioner of Police, Ali Dabig,i urged all citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or miscreants to the police.

“The suspect will be charged to court soon to face the full weight of the law,” Mr Hassan said.
