Bandits have attacked and killed the son of the Zamfara State Hajj Commission Chairman, Alhaji Musa Mallaha, and abducted three of his relatives in Gusau, the state capital.

A resident in the area who identified himself as Malam Aminu Sani, said the bandits who came in large number stormed the residence of the Chairman around 1:30pm Thursday with heavy weapons.

Sani added that they wanted to abduct the Chairman but their mission failed and they later killed his son, the watchman and abducted some people living in the house, Vanguard reports.

“We heard heavy shooting sporadically by the hoodlums but after they left, we discovered that they killed Abdulmunaf his son and kidnapped his brother Muawiya Lawali Mallaha and his watchman”, he said.
