Several bandits were eliminated in a coordinated military attack in Giwa LGA of Kaduna State.

Troops of Operation Whirl Punch executed successful ground and air strikes, neutralizing numerous bandits, including some leaders, at a meeting point near Bula community in Yadi Forest, Giwa LGA.

According to operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, the strike was based on credible intelligence, following the recent elimination of bandit kingpins along the Kaduna-Katsina border.

Intelligence had revealed that the bandits planned to gather for a meeting on a deadly mission in the Yadi Forest area.

Close monitoring ensued, and at the specified time, bandits were seen armed and arriving on motorcycles.

Further surveillance confirmed their movements and gathering of about seven to ten members at a hub.

Upon verification, the military struck the location, killing scores of bandits, including Alhaji Kachalla Ragas, an ally and childhood friend of the previously neutralized Buharin Yadi.

Receiving the report, Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, expressed satisfaction, commending the security forces for their swift response, diligent efforts, and precise execution. The Governor also thanked the sources who provided the crucial intelligence leading to the successful strike.
