The Adamawa State Police Command has successfully disrupted an organized crime syndicate involving staff of the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) and vigilante members.

According to Police Public Relations Officer SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the police received a tip-off about the planned heist and swiftly dispatched a team to the warehouse in Limawa Ward, Yola North local government area.

The police arrested eight suspects, including three ADSEMA staff members and five vigilante members, and recovered 98 bags of maize, millet, and guinea corn. The suspects, aged between 22 and 53, were apprehended a few hours after executing their plan.

Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris commended the DPO Jimeta and his team for their prompt response and professional conduct, which led to the arrest and recovery of the stolen grains. He encouraged the public to provide information on criminal activities and assured the government and citizens of Adamawa State of the police’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
