“She had completed her usual morning routine and brought out the clothes she intended to wear to class, leaving them beside her bed,” explained one of Naja’atu’s roommates, who wished to remain anonymous.

ATBU spokesperson Zailani Bappa confirmed the incident.

He stated that she was rushed to the university’s clinic for medical attention, but medical personnel were unable to find a vein on her body.

He said Naja’atu was taken to the Trauma Centre of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by medical doctors.

Bappa added that Naja’atu had been buried according to Islamic rites and offered prayers for the repose of her soul.
