Suspected kidnappers have killed two policemen and abducted a former female commissioner, Ada Anioma Joan Onyemaechi, in a church in Asaba, Delta.
The church, the King Jesus and I Church, which was invaded on Tuesday evening, is located off DBS Road in Asaba.
The marauders reportedly left behind a trail of sorrow and death, killing the two policemen providing security at the church premises.
It was gathered that the kidnappers, who were heavily armed, stormed the church premises and opened fire on the policemen, killing them instantly.
Also, the attackers proceeded to abduct the former Commissioner, Ada Anioma Joan Onyemaechi, a prominent member of the community.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Mr. Bright Edafe confirmed the attack.
“We are on the trail of the kidnappers and very soon, l believe we will get them”, Edafe said.
