Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has suspended academic activities due to the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests. University spokesperson Lamara Garba announced the decision on Monday, stating that Vice Chancellor commended the university community for maintaining peace on campus.

“After a careful review of the situation in Kano State as a result of the National Protest, the University Management has directed that all scheduled lectures should be suspended forthwith,” Garba said.

Academic and administrative activities will resume once normalcy returns. Garba urged students residing on campus to remain calm and law-abiding, assuring them of their safety.

“Students residing on the campuses are advised to continue to remain calm and law-abiding, as adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure their safety,” the statement continued.
