Two people narrowly escaped death on Tuesday morning when a commercial bus collided with a slow-moving articulated vehicle in Ojota, Maryland, Lagos.

Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the incident.

The crash, which occurred around 4:45 a.m., was attributed to high speed and loss of control. LASEMA’s Tiger Response Team from Alausa, Ikeja, responded swiftly to the scene. The two victims, trapped inside the bus, were rescued and transported to the hospital with various injuries.

The accident involved a commercial bus with registration number APP 209XZ and an articulated vehicle with registration number T4845LA. The road was cleared, and traffic resumed before the morning rush hour.
