The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the incident, stating that it received distress calls at 00:15 and immediately activated its Emergency Response Plan.

LASEMA’s spokesperson, Nosa Okunbor, reported that upon the arrival of the Dolphin Response Team at 00:40, a large fire was already raging throughout the warehouse.

The fire consumed various goods, including TVs, refrigerators, and air conditioners, with losses estimated to run into hundreds of millions of naira.

Emergency teams are still working on-site to fully extinguish the fire.
