No fewer than eight persons lost their lives after a violent clash confrontation broke out between between farmers and herders in Adamawa State.

According to him, many people were also injured in the melee and no one has been arrested so far

He disclosed a combined security team had been deployed to the area to douse tensions and restore normalcy.

The clash, a yearly occurrence, has claimed several lives and destroyed livestock and property worth millions of naira over times.

The latest clash was allegedly caused by the killing of a youth in Kodomun by suspected herders. It was gathered the crisis spread to neighboring communities of Kudiri, Sabonlayi, Kwayine, and Gorogbakai villages.

Addressing an enlarged meeting at the palace of the Hama Batta, His Royal Majesty Homun Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke, the Chairman of Demsa LGA, Akham Jalo, appealed for calm and urged stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the lingering problem
