  • The girl had gone missing on Thursday while out selling milk

A 13-year-old girl has been found dead in the Tipper Garage area of Gwagwalada, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with reports suggesting she may have been raped.

The Secretary of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Ibrahim Ciroma, confirmed the incident on Sunday.

The girl had gone missing on Thursday while out selling milk, and her body was discovered the following day. Ciroma stated that her body showed signs of severe trauma.

A medical examination at the hospital has taken place, but the results have not been disclosed. The police have been notified, and several suspects have been taken into custody.

The FCT Police Command has confirmed that seven individuals are currently being held in connection with the incident. The situation was brought under control after security forces intervened to prevent potential clashes between herders and miners.
