The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man accused of killing his younger brother during a fight in the Iba area of Lagos State.

The incident, which took place on Friday, remains under investigation as the cause of the altercation is still unknown.

According to the Police, the tragedy occurred on the night of August 23, 2024. The spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hudenyin, confirmed the incident, stating that it was reported to the Iba Police Division the following day.

SP Hudenyin explained that Ayodeji Busari, a resident of Iba, allegedly pushed his 47-year-old younger brother during the fight, causing him to hit his head on a pavement. The younger brother, who had traveled from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to visit a friend, became unconscious and was rushed to Igando General Hospital. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead by the attending medical doctor.
