  • After the murders, Ukpai reportedly hid the remains in a large bag, commonly known as a “Ghana Must Go” bag.

One Vincent Ukpai has allegedly killed his neighbour’s wife and son in the Lekki area of Lagos State, the police have said.

The suspect was said to have killed the deceased persons after a misunderstanding ensued over the responsibility of cleaning their shared compound.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed that the suspect has since been arrested

According to him, the argument escalated when Ukpai attacked Gloria and her son with a weapon, killing them both.

After the murders, Ukpai reportedly hid the remains in a large bag, commonly known as a “Ghana Must Go” bag.

Hundeyin said the incident was reported to the police on September 5 at approximately 10:55 PM, adding the bodies of the victims have be retrieved and deposited at the morgue for autopsy.

He said: “Detectives from the Elemoro Police Station in Lekki swiftly responded to the scene, leading to Ukpai’s arrest. The bodies of Gloria and her son were recovered and transported to the Epe General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation. The investigation is ongoing,” he said.

In a separate incident, a 54-year-old man named Olatinji was found dead in Agege, Lagos, after committing suicide. The deceased was discovered hanging from the ceiling of a store
