  • Operations in Degema LGA saw 21 boats destroyed and 28,000 litres of stolen crude confiscated

The Nigerian Army has dismantled over 32 illegal bunkering sites and recovered more than 250,000 litres of stolen oil in the Niger Delta, according to a statement by Lt.-Col. Danjuma Danjuma, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 6 Division.

In Rivers State, troops destroyed illegal refining sites, seized over 12,000 litres of crude oil, and intercepted a tugboat carrying 50,000 litres of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).

Operations in Degema LGA saw 21 boats destroyed and 28,000 litres of stolen crude confiscated.

In Bayelsa and Delta States, troops deactivated several illegal refining sites, recovering thousands of litres of stolen products.
