  • The residents of Akamkpa were seen siphoning fuel into different kinds of kegs, buckets and others from the falling tanker

Residents of the Akamkpa area of Cross River State were seen scooping fuel from a fallen tanker on the roadside.

In a trending video on Thursday, 24th of October, 2024, the residents were seen siphoning fuel into different kinds of kegs, buckets and others from the falling tanker.

The development is coming days about 181 persons were burnt while scooping fuel from a fallen tanker in Jigawa state.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the Jigawa explosion occurred on October 15 at Majia, in the Taura Local Government Area involving a petrol-laden truck travelling from Kano to Nguru in Yobe State.
