The Kano State Police have arrested a notorious thug, Inuwa Zakari, known as “Gundura,” along with 14 others in a major operation targeting criminal gangs.

The arrests were made during a series of raids between October 25 and 27, 2024, as part of a crackdown ordered by the State Police Commissioner, Salman Dogo Garba.

Police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the arrests, stating that Gundura, 24, had been on the run after allegedly attacking a Vigilance Group Commander and damaging a police vehicle in Kano.

The suspects are being held at the Criminal Investigation Department for further questioning, and will be charged in court following the investigation.
