  • The commandant said that the suspect loaded 40,000 litres of petrol at Pinnacle Distribution Depot in Eleko, Lagos State.
  • He added that the suspect confessed to diverting the petroleum product.

The Osun command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) apprehended Afeez Adegbola, an NNPCL truck driver, for allegedly diverting 10,000 litres of petrol.

Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo addressed the press in Osogbo, presenting Adegbola and his two assistants.

Adegbola loaded 40,000 litres of petrol in Lagos but delivered only 30,000 litres at an NNPCL filling station.

He was arrested Friday at 8:21 pm at Tempola filling station in Ikirun while unloading the remaining 10,000 litres.
